Summary: Learn how to add custom accommodations or client-arranged stays that are not yet available in itrvl. The Own Accommodation feature lets you include properties not in the system so you can still generate accurate quotes for your client. This guide is for Travel Designers who need to add lodges, hotels, camps, or other stays that itrvl doesn't have listed yet.

Also known as: own arrangement, custom accommodation, client-arranged stay, unlisted property, add own hotel, manual accommodation, property not in system, custom stay, own accommodation

  • You are logged in to itrvl

  • You are in the Itinerary Builder

  1. In the Itinerary Builder, type "Own Accommodation" in the search bar. You can add this alongside other accommodations already in your itinerary.

  2. itrvl will show an Own Accommodation entry with a TBD location.

  3. Click Show Availability to begin setting up the custom stay.

  4. Select the dates for the stay.

  5. Click Select Location to set the location and name for the accommodation.

  6. Use the dropdown menu or search to find the accommodation's location.

  7. Enter a custom name for the accommodation. This name will be visible to your client on the Client Portal and payment link, so make sure it is clear and recognizable.

  8. Click Done to save your changes.

  9. You can now continue building your itinerary and generate a quote with the custom accommodation included.

Tips & Important Notes

Want it added permanently? If you plan to use this accommodation regularly, let the itrvl team know and they can add it to the system so you won't need to use Own Arrangement next time.

Customize in the Presentation Editor. After generating your quote, use the Presentation Editor to update the content, images, and details for the Own Arrangement so it looks polished in your client's presentation.

Name it clearly. The name you enter for the custom accommodation is what your client will see on the Client Portal and payment link. Use the property's real name rather than a placeholder to avoid confusion.
