Reading version history and supplier cost lines

Version history gives you a clear log of every change made to a booking and its impact on pricing. This article covers how to read version history and how to interpret supplier cost lines in itrvl.

Also known as: checking changes, tracking updates, booking history, change log, supplier cost breakdown, pricing breakdown

Where to find version history

Open the booking in itrvl and click the History tab.

How to read version history

Each entry in version history shows:

  • What changed — accommodation added or removed, nights updated, service or transit added

  • Who made the change — entries will show as a Wilderness update so you can clearly see changes made by the team

  • Impact on pricing — the supplier cost and sell price change associated with that update

This is your primary tool for confirming that Window changes have pulled through correctly to itrvl. If you refreshed the booking and want to verify what came through, version history will show you exactly what changed and by how much.

Note: Numbers will sometimes look different between Window and itrvl due to Window's single currency invoicing applying a time-based FX buffer. This is expected and not an error.

How to read supplier cost lines

On the main booking view, each line item shows a Supplier Cost figure. Hovering over this figure gives you a detailed breakdown of what makes up that cost.

This breakdown is particularly useful for:

  • East Africa bookings where park fees, TANPA fees, or conservation levies are included in the accommodation cost

  • Understanding why an accommodation is priced at a certain amount when an agent queries the cost

  • Verifying inclusions — hovering over inclusions will show what is covered, such as all meals, transfers, and activities included in the rate

Using version history and supplier cost lines together

These two tools work best together. If a sell price looks unexpected after a refresh:

  1. Go to version history to see what changed and the pricing impact

  2. Hover over the relevant supplier cost line to understand what makes up that figure

  3. If the change looks correct, you're good to proceed

  4. If something looks wrong, do not proceed — contact itrvl support
