How to fix an incorrect header image on the Client Portal

Prerequisites

  • You have an itinerary open in itrvl

  • The itinerary has been published to the Client Portal

How to identify the issue

This issue most commonly occurs after using Copy to Builder. The header image on the Client Portal displays a photo from a different region or country that does not match the current itinerary. You can spot it by opening the Client Portal link and checking whether the header image is relevant to the trip.

Steps

  1. Go back to your itinerary and open the Presentation Editor. [SCREENSHOT: Show the Presentation Editor button on the itinerary]

  2. In the sidebar on the left, click the Header section. [SCREENSHOT: Show the Header section selected in the sidebar]

  3. Drag and drop the first image after another image, then drag it back to the first position. This resets the header image on the Client Portal. [SCREENSHOT: Show the image being dragged to a new position in the Header section]

  4. Open the Client Portal link in a new tab or refresh your existing Client Portal tab to confirm the correct image is now showing.

Tips & Important Notes

Quick check after Copy to Builder. This issue is most common after using Copy to Builder. Get in the habit of checking the Client Portal header image after generating a new version of your itinerary to catch this early.

Simple drag and drop fix. You don't need to upload a new image. Simply moving the first image out of position and back again is enough to reset it.
