Summary: Learn how to share the Payment Portal link with your client in itrvl. The Payment Portal (payment page, checkout, payment link) becomes available once invoices have been generated. You can share the link from multiple locations, and your client can also access it directly from the Client Portal. This guide is for Travel Designers managing the payment process on their bookings.
Also known as: payment link, payment page, checkout, share payment, confirm booking button, client payment, payment portal link, send payment link
Prerequisites
You have an itinerary open in itrvl
Invoices have been generated for the booking
Sharing from the Edit Itinerary page
Open your itinerary and click the three-dot menu (β―) in the top right corner.
Select Publish Itinerary, then select Share Itinerary.

Click the Payments tab to generate the Payment Portal link.

Sharing from the Client Details page
On the Client Details page, find the itinerary card you want to share and click the dropdown arrow next to the Edit Itinerary button.

Select Publish Itinerary.
Select Share Itinerary to generate the shareable link.

How your client accesses the Payment Portal
For the Confirm Booking button to appear on your client's Client Portal, all three of the following must be true:
You have shared the Client Portal itinerary with your client
You have generated invoices
Your Sell Price is visible in the Client Portal (not hidden)
Once these conditions are met, your client will see the Confirm Booking button in the top or bottom right corner of their Client Portal. Clicking it takes them to the Payment Portal.

Hiding the Payment Portal
If you are not ready for your client to see the payment option, you can hide the Confirm Booking button by hiding the Invoice Total. On the Edit Itinerary page, click the eye icon under theΒ Selling Price box. This removes the payment option from your client's view until you make the Sell Price visible again.

Tips & Important Notes
Use the Share Link button, not the browser URL. When sharing the Payment Portal link with your client, always use the Share Link button within itrvl. Do not copy the URL from your browser address bar, as it may lead to a login page and cause confusion for your client.
The Payment Portal does not expire. Your client can return to the Payment Portal at any time to complete their payment.
Control visibility with the Sell Price. The Confirm Booking button and the Sell Price visibility are linked. If you hide the Sell Price, the payment option is also hidden from the Client Portal. See How to show or hide the sell price and set a custom pricing note for details.
