Summary: Learn how to change the currency your client pays in on an itrvl itinerary. itrvl quotes are always generated in USD, but you can convert to one of eight supported currencies to match your client's preference. This guide is for Travel Designers managing multi-currency bookings and invoicing.

Also known as: change currency, convert currency, foreign currency, invoicing currency, payment currency, client currency, multi-currency, FX, foreign exchange, currency settings

Prerequisites

  • You have an itinerary open in itrvl

  • The itinerary is in Quote or Provisional status

Steps

  1. Open the itinerary you need to update and navigate to the right side and locate the Selling Currency dropdown menu.

    Click on change selling currency
  2. Click the dropdown and select the currency you would like to invoice your client in.

    Click on A$ AUD…
  3. Your quote will automatically update and convert from USD to the selected currency amount.

Tips & Important Notes

Set your selling currency before generating invoices. The selling currency can only be changed while the booking is in Quote or Provisional status. Once the booking is confirmed or invoices have been generated, the selling currency is locked.

Already generated invoices but haven't received payment? You can still change the selling currency by deleting the existing invoices first, updating the currency, and then regenerating your invoices.

Protect yourself from FX fluctuation. Use the Currency Conversion Slider to manage foreign exchange risk on your booking. See How to use the Currency Conversion Slider for details.
